Description

KC is a cooperative functioning as an umbrella organisation of creative entrepreneurs, as well as a learning environment of entrepreneurship. KC is an enterprise of enterprises (the members of the Campus have their own enterprises), and works in cooperation with schools and other education institutes of the region.

For whom is Kulttuuricampus created?

KC was created by entrepreneurs. Common working spaces offer entrepreneurs a working environment, which makes it possible to meet other entrepreneurs, work together in different projects, develop one’s own skills and enterprises, and above all, make the businesses flourish! The campus was created for the needs of the local community and clients; different services were made available under one and same roof. Also students of the City have the possibility to study entrepreneurship in practice together with real entrepreneurs. Many schools use the network and environment to create working life projects; programmes for entrepreneurship education are developed together with the schools of the region.

Who are the Kulttuuricampus entrepreneurs?

We have fine carpenters, dressmakers, furniture makers, graphic designers, book keepers, dance teachers, musicians, international specialists, entrepreneurship educators/trainers, cosmetics enterprise, yoga teachers, tattooing expert, painters.

What is the leading idea of the Kulttuuricampus activities?

The main idea is to gather together entrepreneurs, who can profit from the colleagues and working environment and thus achieve better results together. The Campus offers those working spaces, training, happenings, meetings with well-known specialists, and possibilities for cooperation. The main idea is to emphasise team entrepreneurship through team learning/teaching. The goal of the Campus activities is not to create profit for itself but to create good possibilities for its members to carry out their own businesses successfully. The Campus arranges education/training courses and programmes in entrepreneurship skills and knowledge for its members, among which is also the official national programme for competence based vocational qualification in Entrepreneurship.
