Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities (SBBF) began to academic life in 2010. The founding philosophy of the faculty based on the concept that social sciences has an integrated structure and the research and education to be made in this field which requires an interdisciplinary understanding of perspective. In this respect, SBBF established under the name Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, which differs from the state universities in Turkey named as Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Faculty of Political Sciences, Faculty of Business Administration and the Faculty of Literature, has the distinction of being a pioneer faculty in Turkey.

The aim of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, in the information age that knowledge rapidly produced, become widespread and consumed, is to educate students and academics who can think quickly that a globalized world requires, with strategic foresight, solution-oriented, demonstrate flexibility and compliance with the requirements of competitive conditions, and to lead scientific researches that our country needs in the field of social sciences.

There are 12 departments within the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities. These are Economics, Business Administration, Political Science and Public Administration, International Relations, Linguistics, Philosophy, Public Relations and Advertising, Psychology, Art History, Sociology, History and Literature.

The faculty staff, majority of them with international teaching experience, consists of experienced and dynamic academics who aim to be in close dialogue with the business community and our social environment.
